The KSP Writers' Centre is proud to support the development of literary work by hosting a number of annual residencies for Australian writers.

Important Notes for Applicants
- Information about the residency can be found on the KSP website.
- Please also consider the Terms of Use (see bottom of application form) and read the category guidelines carefully to ensure your eligibility before submitting an application - some category guidelines have changed recently.
- Applicants must be current KSP members and 18 years of age or older.
- Please note: KSP is strongly committed to supporting young and emerging writers. While there is no age restriction for the Pioneer (Upcoming) category, we strongly encourage applications from writers aged under 35.
- Incomplete or late applications will NOT be considered.
- The Pioneer (Upcoming) residency offers a $500 AUD contract salary for a full-time period residing at the Centre for two consecutive weeks, dates negotiable.
- Two positions (minimum) are available in 2027.
- Please ensure you download the Supporting Residency Document template from the KSP website and complete all required sections. You will be asked to upload this as a .doc or .docx attachment as part of the application. Applicants who do not submit this specific template will be deemed ineligible.
- All applicants will be notified within eight weeks of the closing date. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted within this time to arrange an interview with the Selection Panel.
The KSP Residency Program is funded by the KSP Foundation Inc and supported by the Shire of Mundaring.
